We have gotten some good rain on Lake Travis this wet Sunday. Of course it is not enough to see drastic rises in the lake levels but we will take any water we can get.
The San Saba Gauge on LCRA Hydromet shows just over 1″ of rain. Cherokee Gauge shows over 1.5″, all of this while we slept. The Flow Rates are the real indicator of water entering the lake and not being absorbed into the ground. All of the Flow Rates are very low, but if we get heavy rains over a short amount of time, it always nets in better runoff.
We can only hope for continued spotty rain this afternoon. Never the less, be wary of lightening as the forecast calls for spotted thunderstorms.
Be safe out there and head for the house if you hear thunder or see lightening.
